About Bolt
Bolt is a full-service Design + Build firm and fully insured General Contractor based in Brooklyn. We specialize in design-forward hospitality, retail, and residential projects that merge classical sensibility with innovative construction and fabrication methods. We believe that great design is only as strong as its execution — and that means being just as rigorous about budgets, schedules, and communication as we are about creative vision.
The Role
Bolt is seeking an experienced Construction Site Superintendent to oversee day-to-day field operations on New York City–based hospitality, retail, and residential projects. This is a hands-on, site-first role for someone who knows how to run a clean, safe, well-coordinated job site and take pride in the details.
As Site Super, you’ll be Bolt’s on-site lead — responsible for sequencing work, coordinating trades, maintaining quality and safety standards, and ensuring projects move forward efficiently. You’ll work closely with Bolt’s Project Managers, designers, subcontractors, and inspectors to deliver high-quality builds in a demanding NYC environment.
What You’ll Do
- Manage daily on-site construction activities, including trade coordination, sequencing, and site logistics
- Maintain and update short- and long-term look-ahead schedules in coordination with the Project Manager
- Supervise subcontractors to ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with drawings and specifications
- Enforce NYC jobsite safety standards, including OSHA compliance and site-specific safety plans
- Coordinate and attend DOB, FDNY, and special inspections, ensuring readiness and compliance
- Perform daily site walks to verify quality, progress, and cleanliness
- Review drawings and details in the field and flag constructability issues or conflicts early
- Track deliveries, material storage, and site access logistics in dense urban conditions
- Maintain clear daily reports, progress photos, and punch lists
- Serve as Bolt’s on-site representative with inspectors, subcontractors, landlords, and building management
- Support punch, closeout, and turnover processes to ensure smooth project completion
What We’re Looking For
- 5–10+ years of experience as a Site Superintendent or Lead Foreman on NYC construction projects
- Strong background in interior build-outs, hospitality, retail, or high-end commercial work
- Deep understanding of NYC construction logistics, including occupied buildings, tight sites, and accelerated schedules
- Working knowledge of NYC DOB, FDNY, inspections, and code requirements
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings
- Proven ability to coordinate multiple trades and keep work moving without sacrificing quality
- Strong leadership presence on site — calm, organized, and accountable
- Clear communicator who works well with Project Managers, designers, and subcontractors
- Pride in maintaining a clean, professional, and well-run job site
- Reliable, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset

- Join a company on the rise. Bolt is entering a new chapter of growth — and we’re building something special. You’ll help shape the future of the company, not just execute the present.
